Charlton Heston did a great job in the four part series “The Bible” back in 1992. He was the right guy to do it for many reasons, not least because of his incredible performance as Moses in the 1956 “The Ten Commandments” (one of the all time epics in movie history). As he narrates these episodes, citing the King James bible on location in the Holy land, he is way more powerful than the competition. He really gives life to these old stories and no matter where you stand on the subject matter, this was brilliant. Still holds up well.
