The hunt for a nice spot to move to some day continues and today I checked out a rather nice place here in Jämtland County. Interest was high so it is going to be interesting to see what happens with this place. I certainly liked it. Stunning nature. Great fishing waters close by. Nice trip in good company.

There was a Kiss party of sorts in Östersund (Jämtland County) tonight, and I figured this was reason enough to have a couple of beers and check things out. The affair included a nice exhibition of collectables to feast your eyes on, and top notch musicians from this neck of the woods delivered a live set worthy of the legend to finish things off. People had a good night out and I can appreciate the effort. A tribute to a piece of hard rock history. The original band still roams the earth but one day, sure enough, this kind of thing will be it.

Here is a glimpse of the past. As some of you will probably know by now I started out my publishing career with a club called Deep Purple Freak Society (1978-1983) that published a fanzine called DEEP PURPLE MAGAZINE. Well, here is issue 22 from back in May 1981, and it sports a rather nice cover shot of Ritchie Blackmore from his Swedish stint with Rainbow back in the day by photographer Hasse Ivarsson.
Humble beginnings sometimes pays off though, and it certainly did for me.
