The media blitz for the upcoming Deep Purple album “=1” (mid July release) is starting to manifest itself. The German edition of Classic Rock (July/August issue) is the first cover that I have seen with the Simon McBride lineup. There will be many more all across the world. The videos for this release, “Portable Door” and “Pictures Of You” has notched up over 2,000,000 hits on YouTube all in all in the last few weeks. This is by far the biggest interest that they have had in decades.
