Keeping The Flames Alive

The June edition of German publication Eclipsed has a nice Deep Purple cover that features the 1974 “Burn” album. Of course, Glenn Hughes is out there performing songs from his days in Deep Purple this year, and this might be the last time he does that. We shall see. Keeping this part of the legacy alive is good work. I see that Lovebites from Japan is playing at this particular festival (in Spain) alongside Glenn Hughes as well. Lovebites guitarist Miyako is a huge Deep Purple fan, and “Burn” is her favourite album. Glenn has probably moved on by the time that Lovebites arrives on location, but it would have been nice if Miyako had got a chance to see and meet Glenn. As for the Eclipse magazine (and the French Rock Hard issue with Tony Iommi on the cover highlighted on this blog yesterday), I would be interested in trade for these.
