Sad to hear that Deep Purple has been forced to cancel all 2021 dates due to Covid-19. Dates are being rescheduled, UK Tour will now happen in October 2022 (fingers crossed). Of course there is talk about them recording a follow-up to “Whoosh!” later this year, which is something to look forward to should that occour.

You have got to hand it to Lana Del Rey, the first artist to bluntly refer to chemtrails in an album title. “Chemtrails Over The Country Club” is out now.

Good news for fans of classic era Lynyrd Skynyrd, as they have now released “Knebworth 1976” in several formats (CD/DVD etc). They opened for the Rolling Stones on the day and went down very well. This happened the year before the fatal plane crash that ended things in 1977. Nice album cover too.

Crystal Viper singer Marta Gabriel has her first solo album coming up. Titled “Metal Queens” it will be released on July 30. The idea behind this album is to salute the women in rock that was an inspiration to Marta.

Ex-Judas Priest guitarist KK Downing has formed his own band called KK´s Priest and they have an album titled “Sermons Of The Sinner” in the pipeline (planned release date is August 20). This is going to be interesting, especially since former Priest singer Tim “Ripper” Owens is in the band as well. They added a new video called “Hellfire Thunderbolt” on YouTube yesterday and it has notched up an impressive 136,000 hits as I write this. Pretty darned cool video too.
