The disaster that saved Britain

US publication Film Journal International (August 2017). I see a lot of covers for the movie “Dunkirk” which slightly surprises me. But then this is a film that captures a moment in history when an entire Empire (Great Britain) hanged in the balance. Kind of what the West has positioned itself in yet again from sheer stupidity (hello Globalists!). In our day and age, you are not supposed to think of your country in any kind of positive way. This film captures the days when people were patriots as if it was a natural law (I grew up like that and I was born in 1961). Would a Western nation pull this off today if the call went out? Not so sure. But I think there is a strong yearning for what has been and a good portion of the people living in England today will take this to their hearts. Pretty sure that Christopher Nolan will soon be able to call himself Sir. And for good reason.

This is my take on this and I am sticking to it.
