Babymetal – Predictions for 2018

Posted: June 25, 2017 in Babymetal, Classic Rock, Cool stuff, General

As Babymetal round up their US Tour tonight in Idaho with their sights now set on the 15 upcoming Japanese festivals (between July 18 and October 15), one has to assume that perhaps this will be it for the “Metal Resistance” album. So I will have some fun here and predict what 2018 may have in store for fans of Babymetal. Well, Fox Day is April 1 and they usually release big news on this day. Perhaps the news of a third studio album will preceed this date? Perhaps the next studio album will actually be released on April 1 2018? That would be absolutely awesome and it would give Babymetal a chance to take on Europe (starving for Babymetal as we speak, major success a given!) and the States in earnest next summer. The all important third release will be the most critical in their career. If they come up with another killer album – and I think they will – the world will be at their feet. They need to release the “Live At Wembley” and “Live At Tokyo Dome” DVDs in the meantime on the international market. These killer DVDs will pave the way for bigger shows everywhere. In fact, I think 2018 may well turn out to be epic for Babymetal. Now, it has to be said that there is not as much as a whisper out there about another album being recorded, but I think they can keep secrets pretty well and I will go out on a limb and predict that 2018 will be the year of album number three. Hell, I might even have a go at a title. How about “Eldorado”?
