Good day today, as my copy of Babymetal´s single “Ijime, Dame, Zettai” (translates to “No More Bullying”) popped up in the mail on import from Japan (thank you Kalle). Originally released on January 9 2013 in Japan, this was the release that started the whole “Metal Resistance” concept from Babymetal. In the official video, Metal is persecuted and Babymetal comes to the rescue. The band got the cover of Japanese publication Marquee (issue 94) in December 2012 just in time for the release in the new year. The machine behind the band already working smoothly.

Having grown out of the Sakura Gakuin school project, this was the forth single by Babymetal although it was the first to be released on a major label. The concept had already proven to be a success and from here on Babymetal never looked back. To this day, the early period of Babymetal, and that would include this single, has a charm connected to it that is unique in Metal history. What you have here is Power Metal with a twist. The cover of this single is very cool too, making it a desirable Collectors Item.
