January 2013

Here is a bit of history. In January 2013, a very young Babymetal released its first single in Japan on a major label, titled “Ijime, Dame, Zettai” (“No More Bullying”). It sold 19,000 copies in the first week alone and crashed in at the official charts at a very respectable # 6. The label released it in four versions, with each girl getting one of their own covers as well. Recently, all four has reemerged again, so you should be able to buy these on import if you move fast. An original copy of any of these is probably quite expensive by now. The second single “Megitsune” was released in June.

A very funny tv-appearance has survived and you can see how happy the girls are when they get to present the single in front of the camera. View it here.
