Slightly superior

I heard a track from 220 Volt´s last album “Walking In Starlight” (released last year) on the radio at the dentists a couple of weeks ago and it was brilliant. New singer, but I recognized the band in a split second. So I ordered it and now that I have listened to it a few times I have to say that it is the best album that they have made since “Eye To Eye” back in 1988. Producer Max Norman has been part of this one as well, which is very cool. This band is grossly underrated, a shame since they really are a superior outfit in many ways. And when a band comes up with music like this, it ought to be rewarded somehow. But this seems to be the curse, them being forevermore a bit of an underground thing. Still, these guys walk tall and this really is top notch melodic rock.

Singer Anders Engberg has left the group since the release, so this masterpiece might be a bit of a one-off. We will have to wait and see.
