Purple history – Australia 1975

Posted: November 19, 2015 in Classic Rock, Deep Purple Family

The MK4 version of Deep Purple kicked off their Australian tour of 1975 in Sydney with three shows at the Horden Pavilion Arena on November 19, 20 and 21 and then they continued with two shows at the Festival Hall in Melbourne on the 25th and 26th, one show at the Memorial Drive in Adelaide on the 27th and a final show in Perth on the 29th.

This tour is remembered by all as a highpoint in the short history of this band. Things were going well, the band received a tremendous welcome from a country that had turned Purple crazy in recent years and the feeling was that the band had survived the recent change and was doing well.

This positive run of shows was all to change soon enough in Jakarta.

Stay tuned…
